3041 The multiple beaded bands around the fertility doll, duplicate bands made from straw rings covered with beads worn aroun neck, legs, arms and waist of an unmarried young women (Knight & Priebatsch 1983: 18 cited in Cameron 1996:110). This doll represents a young girl, at puberty as wearing ishphephethu - a stiff rectangular shaped beaded front apron.
